Seth Stevens

A third generation resident of Henry County, Seth returned to Henry County to pursue a career in the insurance industry after receiving a degree from Indiana University.

Seth is a current member of the New Castle Henry County Chamber of Commerce board of Directors, member of the
New Castle Henry County Economic Development Board, member of the Henry County United Fund Board of Directors, member of the South Henry Optimist Board of Directors, member of the Art Association of Henry County Board of Directors, Life Member Indiana University Alumni Association, member of Tri Jr. Sr. High School Vocational Advisory board, and a Life Loyal member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. Seth has participated in many community projects such as Day of Caring and the Henry County United Fund.

Gail Byers

A life long resident of New Castle, Gail has nearly 40 years of experience in the insurance industry.  Her customer service skills and product knowledge are unmatched. 

As the office manager, Gail oversees the day to day operations of our highly trained staff. Assuring our clients the best customer service they need and deserve.

Gail and her husband are leaders in their local church and support many other community activities. As much as their busy life permits, they enjoy spending time with their daughter and son-in-law who reside in Wabash, IN

Matt Shafer

Matt Shafer is a licensed agent for Chapin-Hayworth Insurance. He joined the company in 2002.

Prior to joining Chapin-Hayworth, he was an account representative for Integrator.com. He is active in the Henry County Builders Association, where he serves on the scholarship committee. He also is the president of Professional Referral Exchange, Willow Lake chapter, a member of the Muncie Jaycees and is the head coach for freshman boy’s basketball at Knightstown High School.

Matt Shafer received a Bachelor of Science degree from Ball State University. He is a graduate of Tri Junior-Senior High School and a native of the Henry County area.


Christine Griggs (Customer Service Representative)

"Chris" joined the agency when she and her husband Don relocated to the New Castle area. She has picked up on the aspects of insurance very quickly and would love to visit with you. Chris loves to spend quality time with her children, and she loves to read in her spare time. Stop by the office and ask her for any book recommendations.

John Smile
"John" has been assisting our agency for many years now and is a life-long resident of Henry County. John has served on the South-Henry School Board, coached numerous sporting teams, and has been a familiar face to the community. A Lewisville High School and Anderson University graduate, John is a great asset to our company. He and his wife have one son who resides in Noblesville, IN with his wife. A life long resident and devotee of Henry County, Ruth Hayworth has been an involved business person for nearly 50 years. First starting her career working for Jack Nash at the Jack Nash Insurance Agency, Ruth quickly found that a career in the Insurance Industry would be a promising and fulfilling job.

A mother of two and grandmother of 3 (including Seth Stevens that is employed by Chapin-Hayworth) Ruth has been involved in countless charity organizations. An active member and past officer of the local Business and Professional Women (BPW), a former Henry County Council member, a current officer of the local Habitat for Humanity organization, the 1995 Courier Times "Boss of the Year." Ruth has also been recognized as a Kentucky Colonel and is an active member of the Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) and Independent Insurance Agents (IIA) groups.

A selfless member of the community, Ruth is known for her countless hours of community service, and her professionalism in her career.
